What We've Accomplished

Over the years we've worked on thousands of projects for dozens of different clients. These are some of them:

Syncrude Camp Relocation

This project required relocation of Syncrude's two-floor camp structure to make room for UE1 expansion. The $8 Million project was completed ahead of schedule, in less than five months from start to finish, without a single loss time incident.

Syncrude Furnace Upgrades

This $2 Million+ project entailed civil upgrades to Syncrude`s furnace while in full operation (no shutdowns were required). This approach allowed Syncrude to continue their regular operations and avoid costly downtime. Again we completed the project without a single loss time incident.

Suncor Millennium Maintenance

CBS oversaw the complete construction of Suncor's new 20,000 square foot millennium maintenance shop. The project was completed over a seven - month period, and at it's peak utilized the talents of 110 trades personnel, none of whom incurred a single loss time incident.

Suncor Millennium Main Control Building

Suncor's millennium main control building is the centre of operations for the company's millennium expansion project, housing an array of high-tech equipment and controls. Due to the complexity of the project, it was completed over an eleven month period, and involved a wide range of trade persons, ranging from labours and carpenters to electricians and instrument technologists. As is the norm for CBS, the project was completed with no lost time incidents.

Maintenance Work

CBS also has a number of ongoing maintenance contracts, including plant wide maintenance contract with Syncrude, Suncor and Shell Albian Sands.
